Academy of Classical Music & Art was founded by Gianeh and Ovanes Arakelyan, sister and brother pianists, described by prominent music critics and the press as  “Dynamic Pianists...blessed with abundant technique... romantic temperament... Sweeping power... and Fire...”   The siblings earned their Bachelor of Music degree from USC, with intensive training in the class of world renowned pianist, Professor Daniel Pollack. 

The duo has concertized throughout the United States and abroad, performing with prominent orchestras such as the Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra, Moscow Symphony, and the American Youth Symphony, reaching great Concert Stages, such as Carnegie Hall, Weill Recital Hall, Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, Khachaturian Grand Concert Hall, Henry Fonda Theatre, Ford Amphitheatre, California Palace of Legion of Honor, Florence Gould Theatre, among many others. 

Duo Maestoso was invited to perform at the 39th Gala Concert of the American Youth Symphony, at the esteemed Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in the Los Angeles Music Center, performing the "Carnival of the Animals" by C. Saint-Saens with he AYS, directed by Maestro Alexander Treger.

The siblings were granted two Gold medals each, as well as two "Champions of the World" titles at the 2004 "World Championships of the Performing Arts" in Hollywood, performing world-known piano duets, including Khachaturian's "Saber Dance."

They have released CDs playing solo, orchestral and duo compositions by various classical and contemporary composers. 
In October 2006, the duo dazzled an inspired Fresno audience, who responded with great enthusiasm and appreciation, at CSUF. The duo displayed great virtuosity and command in a varied virtuoso piano music from their second nominated CD entitled “Carnival.”

In February of 2006, the siblings were invited to perform in New York at Carnegie Hall, where they performed solo and duo pieces by various classical and contemporary composers.  Their performance awed a fully packed audience, and was received with an abundant standing ovation.
